Peyton Manning
I bought a 2010 Colts Score set from their proshop one weekend and ended up getting, Manning, Clark, and Collie signed 2 years later.
Not a big Manning fan but clearly from this guys stats its a gem for my collection. I also gave a Topps Heritage signed by Manning to my mom.

Cincy Royals
SOme of the oldest cards in my collection, and the only true tall boy cards. 60's Topps of Cincinnati's of basketball team the Royals. Also have a few recent remakes like a 2001 Big O, and a few others not pictured.

2012 Bengals set
In 2012 I got a connection with the Bengals. S Jeromy Miles got all my cards signed by players willing to sign, I didn't receive back from Andre Smith, or Bernard Scott. I received multiple of most, and Devon Still signed my card that didn't go with the set so I have to get that 1 to finish my 2012 Score set.
Lakers HOFers, "Lake Show"
I have been able to acquire a few "Lake Show" Lakers and HOFers from those Hollywood hoop stars. I have acuired 2 Shaq (1 not pictured) after his move to his new home in Boston. Jerry West Golden State Warriors job, "Big Game" James Worthy from his CBS job, Kurt Rambis his Timberwolves job, Gail Goodrich, Byron Scott his Cavs coaching job. (not pictured Lamar Odom, and Andrew Bynum.) I tried Magic with a unsigned return. I have also tried Michael Cooper with no return at all, but am going to try again soon, as he is coach of the USC women's team. Mitch Kupchak also recently started signing through the Lakers.

Mark McGwire (Big Mac)
After Mark McGwire signed with the Cardinals as a hitting coach I was able to get this card to him. I tried to send my April fools card from SI Kids with him in Sammy Sosa's uniform but he didn't sign that 1. After receiving this back and doing research I found it to be the year he broke the single season HR record, making it a gem of my collection.

Da'Sean Butler (autograph hunting at work)
Once again while I was at work I came across an athlete who came in the mall for meals. D'aSean Butler was drafted by the Miami Heat out of West Virginia, he was cut after the forming of the big 3. His agent was in downtown Cincinnati which is where we crossed paths. When I met him he was so excited to see his rookie card he signed the sleeve, and I requested he sign the card as well, so I got 2 for the price of 1 with this 1.

Aroldis Chapman Rookie Cards
In Aroldis Chapman's rookie year he made watching the Reds games fun for me again. Every game I was glued hoping it would be a save situation so he would come in and throw the high heat. I was at his debut game and glued to the tv the night he threw 105.1 vs the Padres. Every time I went to my card dealer he had a new rookie and I bought it. His Cuban National team cards are difficult to find in Cincinnati so I only have 1 of those so far. I've gotten 3 of my set signed at Redsfest so far and try for 1 or 2 more every year.

Autograph hunting at work
I used to work security in a shopping mall and pro athletes would come eat in the food court. Some players I saw were Johnny Cueto of the Reds (not pictured), Starlin Castro and Alfonso Soriano of the Cubs, and Cory Hary and Nyjer Morgan of the Brewers (Morgan got away before I got there).
Because of these findings I carried cards for every team that came to town. I now have a job that will put me in even better position to meet more players from every team that stays downtown.

Miguel Cabrera
In 2010 before the 2011 season started I got into buying Topps baseball cards again. 2011 Topps was the diamond anniversary year with sweet diamond holographic cards.
I pulled this Cabrera and sent it to him through the Tigers foundation with a $30 money order and it came back with a LOA to use to get authenticated some day.
There are other players who sign through the Tigers Foundation I'd like to send to (Prince Fielder, and Torii Hunter)

Cabrera went on to win the triple crown as we all know and now this is a gem of my collection. |

New York Yankees
So in 2012 I got a connection with the New York Yankees. I met Curtis Granderson's uncle. Through him and the generosity of Curtis' son and The Yankee players I was able to gain possible 1 of a kind signatures.
First I received a Yankee souvenir baseball signed by Derek Jeter and an oversized Curtis Granderson card. Then I handed off the 2011 Yankees cards that I had. Then I sent more Yankees cards and received the 2012 Topps team set returned signed by each player except Michael Pineda who was out for the year.
I am also waiting for a 2012 Andy Pettitte to return through the mail.

1st Printed Lebron James Card
In my younger years I got SI Kids in the mail monthly. I still hunt them down at grocery stores time to time.
I didn't know it at the time but May 2003 was a good issue to get and save. I didn't rip the cards out like I normally did either, another smart choice. Located in the issue is Lebron James 1st printed card, I am not a Lebron fan but this is a good item to have.

Big Red Machine Team Ball
I am trying to complete this set I received a Big Red Machine team baseball from my grandparents for my birthday 2011. It is the only team ball I have, and its the greatest franchise ever from my hometown in Cincinnati. After receiving this ball I have been working to get my 1976 Topps set signed, but that's for a different post
